  1. The fifth letter of the Vietnamese alphabet (seventh, counting  and Ê), quốc ngữ, preceded by D and followed by E, and representing /d/.
  2. The 8th letter of the Bosnian alphabet, sometimes spelled as dj, preceded by and followed by E, and representing /dʑ/. Đ and are quite often confused by non-native speakers.
  3. The 8th letter of the Croatian alphabet, sometimes spelled as dj, preceded by and followed by E, and representing /dʑ/. Đ and are quite often confused by non-native speakers.
  4. The 8th letter of the Serbian Roman alphabet, sometimes written as dj, preceded by and followed by E, and representing /dʑ/. Its Cyrillic counterpart is Ђ. Đ and are quite often confused by non-native speakers.
  5. The 7th letter of the North Sámi alphabet, preceded by D and followed by E, and representing /ð/.
  6. A letter in the Old English alphabet (eth) representing "th" as in "this".

Usage notes

The Vietnamese letter, represented in Unicode as U+0110, is not the same as the North Sámi character.

Usage notes

The Đ Unicode character is not the same as the Spanish DE ligature, but the latter is not yet supported by Unicode. In the Spanish ligature the stroke does not cross the vertical of the D.
