Etymology

First recorded by the astronomer Jakob Bartsch in 1624, but probably created earlier by Petrus Plancius. From [[w:Template:lang:la language|Template:lang:la]][[Category:Template:lang:la derivations]] camēlopardalis (a camelopard, giraffe).
