From the [[w:Template:lang:it language|Template:lang:it]][[Category:Template:lang:it derivations]] bazarra, and the Hindustani (Hindi बाज़ार, Urdu بازار, "bāzār"); from the Old Persian vahā-carana (sale traffic); from the Proto-Indo-European *wesā- ("to buy").
