Middle English disgisen, disguisen, borrowed from Old French desguiser (modern déguiser), derived from des- "dis-", from [[w:Template:lang:la language|Template:lang:la]][[Category:Template:lang:la derivations]] dis-, and guise "guise", from a Germanic source.
