Esperanto ti- (demonstrative correlative prefix) + -a (correlative suffix of "kind")

    As with other demonstrative correlatives in Esperanto, tia can be combined with ĉi, the adverbial particle of proximity, or with for, the adverbial particle of distance. Tia ĉi thus means this [as I am indicating] kind of and tia for means that [as someone else has indicated] kind of.
