Usage notes

  • The Icelandic word vista (save) is not all too common although it is used, but in colloquial Icelandic the English word save with an a- (turns nouns into verbs) suffixed to it is often used in lieu. That neologism has how ever no standardized spelling, but possible orthographic variations include savea, seiva or seifa.
